At World Cancer Research Fund, we’re getting into the Halloween spirit by pulling out the face paint, fangs, claws, cat’s tails and skeleton bones. But as trick or treating seems almost impossible in parts of the UK this year, we thought we would bring the thrill of all hallows’ eve to your door! This year we’ve come up with the spook-tacular idea of sharing scary Halloween recipe videos that our staff have created alongside their families.
While we all associate Halloween with candy and sweet treats, why not mix it up and make some hideously delicious snacks that everyone will enjoy. From ghosts to ghouls, werewolves and even a cat or two, we have plenty of characters to keep you entertained – all while helping you satisfy any tummy rumbles!
Please subscribe to our YouTube channel to watch the first video, and then if you ‘turn on post notifications’ you will be notified over the next five days of all the scary videos we have planned.
Things are about to get very spooky in here, so let’s watch the first video:
Cauliflower cheese monsters
Has cauliflower ever looked so scary? Jess and her niece Izzie, or should I say cat woman and werewolf girl, are bringing the monsters alive! And you can make your own cauliflower monsters too.
Oozing baked apples
Melissa, making oozing baked apples – they’re spilling with 5 A DAY goodness. The recipe in full can be found here.
It looks like it’s witching hour! Sidonie is getting her cauldron boiling and making her witches brew. If you want to taste it, here are a list of the potion ingredients.
Stuffed mushroom cat faces
Oh we have a cat off, here’s Rachel and her son Ewan scaring the bones off us! They’re both creating stuffed mushroom cat faces, Meeeeow! Sharpen your claws, dust-off your whiskers, and make your way to the kitchen to cook this recipe.
Petrifying funny faced pizzas
And last but not in anyways least, we have Adam creating petrifying funny faced pizzas that are wickedly delicious. Be sure to share your funny faced pizza images with us! Read the recipe here.
