Not all heroes wear capes
As a leading cancer prevention charity for more than 25 years, World Cancer Research Fund investigates the links between diet, weight, physical activity and cancer. We fund research around the world, discovering new ways to prevent cancer and the misery it causes.
But we don’t just fund the research. Through our health information programmes, we take the evidence out into the community, to health professionals, families and individuals, so everyone can reduce their risk of developing cancer.
We rely on the incredible generosity of our corporate partners to help fund our work. Call us today and use your power to become our next corporate hero.
Corporate partnering can boost staff morale and increase staff retention. Would your employees like a booklet of healthy breakfast ideas? Posters for your canteen? A guide to exercises that staff can do at their desk?
Or perhaps you’d like to sponsor an event, a T-shirt worn by our fundraisers, a health information booklet or a recipe video, to increase your brand visibility and align your company with a bold, life-changing cancer charity?
Maybe you’d like places for your staff in fundraising events or help running an event at your office?
I’m Adam, Corporate Fundraising Partnerships Manager.
I work with companies of all different shapes, sizes and sectors. I focus on understanding their business and work culture to find the best ways they can engage their staff, customers or local communities to raise money.

We’re so grateful to our corporate partners for supporting us in many different ways. Below are some of the ways companies perform their heroics – we’d love to hear your suggestions on how to be a corporate hero too.
Everyone at World Cancer Research Fund would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all the companies working with us to help prevent cancer.
Canadian company SCIEX is global leader in life science and analytical technologies, and have been supporting us since 2015, raising more than £30,000. Their vision of placing the power of life-changing answers into the hands of those who care, everywhere, aligns with WCRF’s focus on empowering the public and healthcare providers with information that could ultimately save lives.
Informa is WCRF’s longest standing corporate supporter. In the ten years of the partnership, Informa employees have raised more than £670,000 – enough to fund three separate three-year research projects! In 2016, over 500 staff from the Business Intelligence team took part in a sponsored Walk the World in London along the Thames Path from Putney to Tower Bridge.
In 2018, we launched our new partnership with 3INA. All profits from sales of specially created, limited edition #LIPSFORLIFE lipsticks supported our cancer prevention work – changing the world … one lipstick at a time!
