Our NEW eLearning course for health professionals launched earlier this month.
Learn about our 10 Cancer Prevention Recommendations and how to use behaviour change techniques with patients and clients to help them reduce their risk of cancer.
Our course is accredited by The CPD Certification Service and the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) and learners will receive a certificate on completion.
An excellent resource for health professionals. It offers such a large variety of relevant up-to-date information, as well as practical tools for patient engagement
– Marie Spreckley, Senior Nutritionist, NHS England
It’s excellent, so thorough and well presented. I really like the variety in how information is displayed and that it is interactive for the professional. It’s a great use of 2 hours and I like the fact that there is an assessment at the end to cement your learning
– Divya Bassi, Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, University Hospitals Bristol
- WCRF’s 10 Cancer Prevention Recommendations and the science behind them
- Behaviour change theories and how to apply them in practice
- Eating well during cancer
- Debunking common cancer myths
The course is FREE of charge, as we want to equip all health professionals with the knowledge and expertise to help as many individuals as possible reduce their cancer risk.
In the UK around 147,000 cases of cancer could be prevented every year through healthier lifestyle choices, such as eating well and being more physically active.
Prevention at every age
Prevention is becoming more important in public health. It is about helping people stay healthy, happy and independent for as long as possible. This is as relevant at seventy years old as it is at age seven.
Prevention means stopping problems from arising in the first place; focusing on keeping people healthy, not just treating them when they become ill. And if they do, it means supporting them to manage their health earlier and more effectively.
This means giving people the knowledge, skills and confidence to take full control of their lives and their health, making healthy choices as easy as possible.
Our eLearning equips health professionals with tools to have engaging discussions with their clients and patients about cancer risk. Approaching cancer prevention topics can be daunting and the course focuses on ways to address these barriers and help health professionals to feel confident talking about lifestyle changes with those they work with.
Certificate of achievement
The course is full of practical activities which reinforce learning and demonstrate how the information can be applied in a real-life setting.
The eLearning takes around two hours and can be completed at your own pace, saving progress as you go along. After a short assessment, learners receive a certificate to document their learning.
Signing up is easy and only takes five minutes. If you feel you would benefit from our new eLearning course then enrol today.
