Marinade your king prawns in chilli, cumin, paprika, garlic and lime, and serve with a Mediterranean tomato and mozarella salad to make your BBQ go with a zing.

Ingredients

  • 24 king prawns, raw (6 per skewer)
  • 4 skewers, soaked in cold water if wooden
  • 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ a lime, juiced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Place the prawns in a bowl, add all the marinade ingredients, and mix together with your hands.
  2. Cover the bowl with tin foil or cling film and place it in the fridge for a couple of hours.
  3. After soaking your wooden skewers in cold water, start threading 6 prawns per skewer.
  4. Place the skewers on the BBQ once hot for a couple of minutes on each side or until they are cooked through.
