The Captain Tom 100 Challenge

“The sun will shine again, the birds will sing and we’ll all have a lovely day tomorrow”

Friday 30 April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the start of his extraordinary journey that began following 100 laps of his garden.

To celebrate the incredible achievements of Captain Sir Tom Moore, we are inviting you all to get involved in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge from 30 April to 3 May and raise money for the World Cancer Research Fund, while at the same time celebrating Captain Tom’s generosity of spirit, the hope and joy he brought to the nation and his sense of fun.

To get involved, all you have to do is think of an activity that involves the number 100 and complete the challenge any time between 30 April-3 May. This could be walking 100 steps, baking 100 cupcakes, reading 100 pages or even building 100 sandcastles, the choice is yours.

Once you have chosen your challenge, let us know what you are going to do to fundraise, so we can support you, or donate to WCRF and encourage others to get involved too. You can sign up by using the form below.

How will this help WCRF? The money you raise will go towards running our free online cookery classes for anyone in the UK living with cancer. Each attendee will have access to a private online group session with our registered oncologist dietician and a free cookery class pack.
