Christmas is fast approaching!

For lots of people, an advent calendar full of chocolate is a tradition at this time of year – but it’s a tradition that makes it seem OK to eat chocolate every day.

Healthy habits

Doing something on a regular basis is how habits are formed. So why not use advent as an incentive to start working towards a healthier habit?

By taking the Active Advent challenge you’ll be building more activity into your day. Doing at least 30 minutes of exercise every day can reduce your risk of cancer and there’s also growing evidence that sitting down too much is also bad for your health.

Get started today

I’ve ensured the exercises in the Active Advent challenge are simple enough for almost anyone to do, no matter how much or how little physical activity they currently do.

The exercises can be done from the comfort of your own home or you can use them as a great way to help you sit less at work. All you have to do is follow the guide for each day leading up to Christmas.

If you are already active, these exercises can still help to keep you toned and improve your coordination. Join the challenge today and start 2017 as a healthier new you.

Want to do more?

If you want even more of a challenge, why not turn each ‘sit’ into a squat? You could even set your own challenge for December – try being more active in your lunch break or committing to walking an extra 15 minutes every day!

Has James inspired you to get healthier? Take steps towards being more active with our Active Advent calendar.
