Informa staff Go Bananas to prevent cancer!

11 June 2015 | News

Last Thursday over 150 runners from media and publishing company Informa took part in a 3km fun run in Regents Park as part of their annual Go Bananas! fundraising activity for WCRF.

Informa have been supporting our work for the last 9 years and to date have raised over £600,000 to help fund our cancer prevention research and health information programmes. Each year staff in Informa’s global offices around the world Go Bananas! by organising fun runs, bake sales, scavenger hunts and even pedalo races to support the vital research we fund.

In 2015 more events than ever before will be held. In total over 20 offices around the world will be taking part including locations across the USA, China, Germany, Singapore, Australia and Switzerland.

This year in London 10 members of senior staff formed a 'banana bunch', were given a head start and were then chased down by the staff from 7 offices around the city. The fastest male in this year’s race was Michael Randle whilst Alice McLean was the winning female runner.

A big thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part. So far this year donations from Informa and their staff have exceeded £60,000! You can support them too
