Fruity Friday

Can your school host a Fruity Friday this year?

  • When: any Friday
  • Where: your school
  • Registration fee: none
  • Fundraising pledge: as much as you can

Fruity Friday takes place every Friday and is an opportunity to encourage and promote healthy habits when it comes to eating and enjoying fruit (and vegetables!). Helping children to maintain healthier habits, throughout their lives.

By hosting a Fruity Friday, you’ll be raising money for cancer prevention research and cancer survivorship programmes. Helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives – free from the devastating impact of cancer.

When you sign up, you’ll receive:

  • A welcome pack full of fundraising ideas for your Fruity Friday, sponsorship forms, and information about our work
  • A collection box for your classroom or school reception
  • Access to our fundraising hub, full of fruit fact sheets, child friendly recipes (with child-friendly instructions) and how to sheets for craft activities.

Whether you choose to host a fruit sale, have a fruit themed dress down day, or organise a strawberry and spoon race, our fundraising team will be on hand to support you along the way.

Children at Brimington Manor Infant and Nursery School near Chesterfield in Derbyshire raised more than £2,000 with their event

To celebrate Fruity Friday, pupils dressed in fruity colours whilst learning about the benefits of healthy eating and tasted different types of fruit. They also took part in a sponsored skip, with family and friends donation money for every jump completed in two minutes.
