Grants from Charitable Trusts & Foundations can make a vital difference in our fight to prevent future incidences of cancer.
Are you a Trustee of, or do you have contacts with, a Charitable Trust or Foundation which could help us in the following areas?

Research grants programme
Our ground-breaking research programme investigates the links between diet, nutrition, physical activity, weight management and cancer. It is only through this work that we can understand how and why certain foods, diets and lifestyles can ‘stop cancer before it starts’.
We also research how people can be motivated to change their behaviour, take more exercise and lead healthier lifestyles, something particularly important for future generations.
Our current grant programme costs us £1 million per year to maintain, and we are seeking trusts to fund specific projects or our grants programme as a whole.

Education
Our education programmes include our children’s healthy eating club, our health professionals’ education programme and our work with young people aged 16-20. This work raises awareness of our life saving message, which will enable individuals to take control of their cancer risk.

The expert report
The WCRF/AICR Expert Report, Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and the Prevention of Cancer: A Global Perspective, launched in November 2007, is the most authoritative and up-to-date global report ever to be published on the subject of food, nutrition, physical activity and the prevention of cancer. It will form the basis of the agenda for science for years to come.
