Welcome to World Cancer Research Fund • United Kingdom
How tax efficient are you?

On average, only 1 in 3 donors making a gift to charities is making use of the tax relief available to them. As a result, both the donor and the charity are missing out on income every year. There is something for everyone and every type of donation. Please support World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) and become tax efficient.

Payroll Giving – where the taxman gives too!

Did you know that if you are paid through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) or retired and part of a superannuation scheme, you can donate to WCRF UK direct from your pay or pension? And the taxman will contribute, too!

Your donation is deducted before your tax is calculated, the amount you would have paid in tax also goes to your chosen charity. Find out more.

Gift Aid for cancer prevention

Your business can benefit from tax relief on any monetary donation made to WCRF UK by using the Gift Aid scheme. This will differ depending on whether your business is a company, self-employed or partnership.

If you are an employee and a UK Taxpayer, your donation to us can be boosted by up to 28%. Find out more.

A gift of shares

Donating your shares to WCRF UK is a great way to support our cancer prevention work. We would be delighted to hear from you if you want to donate your shares, whatever the value or size. Some smaller holdings of shares may not be cost effective for us to administer ourselves, and in these cases we will put you in touch with ShareGift, an independent registered charity (1052686) which specialises in accepting small numbers or low value shares for charitable benefit.

A Legacy of Hope

Leaving a legacy to WCRF UK can have the effect of reducing the Inheritance Tax (IHT) payable on your estate and, at the same time, you are ensuring that the benefits of your gift live on for generations to come.

Charitable trusts

A Charitable Trust is one way in which you can support the work of WCRF UK, during and after your lifetime. On-going funding can be made in a number of ways, which could earn the full range of tax benefits available to donations of this kind.
