Fruity Friday is an annual campaign by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK). Show your support by taking part on any Friday in 2010. All you need to do is wear a yellow item of clothing and make a donation to support WCRF UK's cancer prevention research and education programmes.

Your step by step guide to Going Bananas on Friday

Step 1: Organise a simple, fun event, like a fruity breakfast or virgin cocktail evening. Invite your friends and family round and ask each guest to come dressed in yellow with a donation for WCRF UK in return for a tasty treat. Or, why not make fruity cakes, such as fruit flapjacks and raisin scones then sell them on behalf of WCRF UK. Download your essential fundraising pack and other useful resources to help you plan your event. Alternatively, request a fundraising pack to be sent to you.

Step 2: Promote your event by displaying a fundraising poster in a prominent position to let everyone know about your Going Bananas event. Register your event with us so we know what banana-tastic things you have planned.

Step 3: Order yellow items from the fruity shop to help you Go Bananas. Collect a donation from everyone who takes part, using our collection box template and ask them to complete our sponsorship form as WCRF UK can claim back the tax on every sponsorship donation and receive an extra 56p on top of every £2 donated at no extra cost to you!

Step 4: Our Go Bananas on Fruity Friday photo competition has now closed. Take a look at WCRF UK's Facebook page to see the three best yellow dress down day photos and find out who the lucky winners are.

Step 5: Count up the money that has been raised and donate the funds to World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) by:

• Donating via our secure online payment page
• Sending a cheque, made payable to ‘World Cancer Research Fund’ and a

• Calling our friendly Fruity Friday Team on 0800 970 1461 to make a telephone donation
