What is Gift Aid?
Under the Government's Gift Aid Scheme, if you are a UK taxpayer WCRF UK will receive nearly a third extra on all donations you make. The scheme, set up in April 2000, means that if you are a UK taxpayer any donation you make to WCRF UK upon which tax has been paid can be worth more to us. For example, if you give £10 to WCRF UK and Gift Aid your donation, we will receive £2.80 from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you. If you would like to make a Gift Aid Declaration, please contact our Supporter Services team on Freephone 0800 970 1461.
Can I receive a certificate to show how much I have raised?
Yes, of course. Please email us at fruityfriday@wcrf.org or call us on 0800 970 1461. Let us know who you would like the certificate made out to, and you will receive a thank you certificate and letter.
How can my employer support Fruity Friday?
Many companies will help charities through a matched giving scheme. Some will match pound for pound, and others will even double match donations made to registered charities by its employees. If you are making a donation to Fruity Friday, please check with your Payroll or HR department whether your company operates a scheme like this as it could make your donation worth even more to us.
