Fruity Friday is an annual campaign by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK). It’s easy to take part and make a difference – simply wear something yellow and make a donation of £2 to support WCRF UK's vital cancer prevention research and education programmes.

Three simple steps to Go Bananas

1. Promote your event
Write your company name, the date and donation amount (we suggest £2) on the campaign poster and display it.

Make sure to register your event with us so we know what banana-tastic things you have planned.

2. Find something yellow to wear
Order yellow items from the shop to help you all Go Bananas.

3. Go Bananas it’s Fruity Friday
Wear yellow and have fun. Collect everyone’s £2 donation using our collection box template and ask them to complete a sponsorship form as WCRF UK can claim back the tax on every sponsorship donation and receive an extra 56p on top of every £2 donated at no extra cost to you!

Donate the money raised to World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) by

• Donating via our secure online payment page
• Sending a cheque, made payable to ‘World Cancer Research Fund’ with a
  cover note to: Fruity Friday, WCRF UK Freepost RSHB-GUYK-ZBYB, London WC1B 3HH.
• Calling the Fruity Friday Team on 0800 970 1461 to make a telephone donation

Check with your HR department whether your company operates a matched funding policy.

Fruity breakfast

Hold a fruity breakfast to kick-start the day! Staff can enjoy a healthy breakfast in return for a small donation to WCRF UK. Download our breakfast boosts cookbook for some great recipes.

Bake a fruity treat

Have fun making healthy treats and cakes containing fruit, like raisin scones and banana and date muffins. Then sell these to colleagues on behalf of WCRF UK. Fruit Friday quiz

Host a quiz, asking people to make a donation to WCRF UK to take part. Think of how you can incorporate fruit or fruit-related topics into the questions or answers. You could also make these tasty fruit kebabs to sell during the break!
