When is Cancer Prevention Week?

In 2011, Cancer Prevention Week will be held between Monday 9 May and Sunday 15 May.

How can I show my support?

The activities taking place this year include:

Beat the Banana!: The annual fun run will be held for the seventh time in London's Hyde Park on Thursday 12 May. The event, which starts at 6pm, will see hundreds of runners chase a giant banana around a 5k route. Sign up for this year's Beat the Banana! race today!

Fruity Friday: People around the country will be dressing in yellow to Go Bananas on Fruity Friday on Friday 13 May. Other activities will include fruit-related events such as fruit quizzes, healthy fruit meals, fancy dress competitions and much more. Find out how you can Go Bananas on Fruity Friday.

Raise awareness: Throughout Cancer Prevention Week, WCRF UK will be working with journalists and using Twitter and Facebook to help raise awareness that people can make a real difference to their cancer risk by following WCRF UK's 10 Recommendations for Cancer Prevention.
