Mark Deakin
Mark Deakin, a Partner Manager at Vodafone, has caught the running bug after taking part in the New York Marathon. Mark has now taken on the challenge of the Berlin Marathon and plans to run 600 miles during training before race day! He is running to support World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) in honour of his friends and family that have been affected by cancer and wants to raise as much money as possible to support cancer prevention research. Please show Mark your support by sponsoring him below. Thank you in advance.
Berlin Marathon
26th Sept 2010
raised so far
"Shortly after completing the New York Marathon, as I was queuing to pick up my belongings in fact, I decided this marathon was not going to be my last. I am therefore now running the Berlin Marathon in September 2010 in aid of World Cancer Research Fund.
I have picked World Cancer Research Fund as all my sponsorship will go towards the prevention of the disease that has affected not only my family a number of times but also more recently close friends.
I plan on continuing with my running blog on http://sparkydblog.spaces.live.com which in return for your donation I promise to keep up to date so you can revel in the further discomfort I will be putting myself through in preparation for the Berlin Marathon. Between now and September 2010 I expect to complete another 600 miles, plan to race in the Reading Half Marathon and with any luck reach a grand total of 1500 miles before race day.
Dig deep and thank you in advance as always!”
