Blazing Saddles

Each year they come back bigger and better! This year, which is their fourth challenge to date, Blazing Saddles are made up of a team of five friends, and they are taking on a strenuous 400km bike ride around Denmark!

The Blazing Saddles have raised almost £8,000 for WCRF UK by completing three previous challenges and they are hoping to continue this fantastic fundraising streak this year. The funds they raise will support WCRF UK's vital cancer prevention work.

"Having conquered much of Sweden and Germany, the Saddles are about to embark on their biggest challenge yet.. and we need your support! On the 9th of September this year, our annual trip will be a punishing 2 day cycle around Denmark, beginning and ending in Copenhagen, covering over 350km of the most arduous terrain possible, as always. Not content with conquering most of Scandinavia and Saxony in the past three years, this time our plan is to revisit the beautiful Danish island of Sjaelland and explore the highways and byways along the coast. Weather and legs permitting we will cycle around the whole island before heading north back up into Copenhagen with the now customary champagne in hand.

Our plan this year is to cycle further and raise even more funds for this well-deserving charity. All of us have, and continue to be, touched by cancer; some of us only recently having lost loved ones to the disease. It's a cause close to our hearts and with WCRF working globally to prevent cancer, it's a charity that fits well with our multi-national biking gang and supporters. In the last three years we've raised almost £8,000 for WCRF so our aim is to continue to build on that.
