It's time to start thinking about taking part in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon!

WCRF UK's application process for our limited number of Golden Bond (guaranteed) places is now open.

How to enter

To enter please complete WCRF UK's application form or email events@wcrf.org to request a form to register your interest in a place. Please give us as much detail as possible, as we select our team based on the answers you give!

The deadline for returning your application form is Friday 3 September 2010. You will find out by mid September whether you have been successful in gaining a WCRF UK Golden Bond place.

If you are unsuccessful don't worry as you will be kept on the waiting list as places may become available when the ballot results are announced at the end of September.

Running for WCRF UK

If you are successful in gaining a WCRF UK guaranteed place we ask that you raise a minimum of £2,000 in sponsorship money, so you need to be confident that you can raise this amount before applying.

The official public ballot system for the 2011 Virgin London Marathon has now closed. If you entered you will find out at the end of September whether or not you have been successful in the ballot system by receiving an Accepted or Rejected magazine in the post.

If you gain a place in the ballot system you can still run for and support WCRF UK. You will have all the benefits of being a Team WCRF UK member (see the list on the right) but you won't have a set amount of sponsorship money to raise, and anything you do raise will support WCRF UK's cancer research and education programmes of cancer prevention.
