Volunteer roles
There are a number of roles that volunteers can fill in their local area:
Start or join a regional group
As WCRF UK is based in London, regional volunteers are vital for us as they provide a local presence, help spread awareness of our work and help us to raise vital funds. Regional groups can hold regular local fundraising events, hold collections in their town and also support other fundraisers in the area. You get to meet like-minded people and have lots of fun while raising money for WCRF UK!
Help at an event
Help cheer on the WCRF UK participants at some of the UK's biggest sporting events, including the London Marathon. We also need volunteers to help with our annual 'Fruity Friday' and Christmas fundraising campaigns, from fruit handouts to collections.
Organise a collection in your local area
Collect in your local area for WCRF UK, whether it be at your local supermarket or town centre, we can provide you with all the information and materials that you will need.
Distribute WCRF UK collection tins in your local area
Help us generate funds in your local area by distributing WCRF UK collection tins to local shops, pubs and other businesses.
Become a WCRF UK spokesperson
You can help us by giving talks to local schools, churches and other groups, about the work of WCRF UK to help spread our cancer prevention message.
Representing WCRF UK at local events and cheque collections
Many groups, schools, individuals and businesses raise money for WCRF UK each year. You can represent us in your area if it is not possible for us to attend.
If you would like any more information on the volunteer roles that we have available at WCRF UK, or if you would like to apply to be a volunteer, please email volunteering@wcrf.org for more information.
