Festive Fundraising

There are a number of ways you can support WCRF UK this holiday period. A simple way is to purchase a selection of our beautiful charity Christmas cards or to send one of our five exciting Christmas eCard designs.

You may already be planning to hold an event this Christmas, such as a carol singing concert, fête or nativity play. Please consider supporting WCRF UK at this time by asking for a donation towards our vital cancer prevention research. We can provide you with collection tins, stickers and posters to help you with your event. Please email events@wcrf.org with your request.

Alternatively, here are WCRF UK’s top three Festive Fundraising ideas for schools to get involved in. For each of the three ideas, we recommend a suggested donation of 50p per child.

1. Make a winter wish:

• Download our winter stars
• Decorate them or write a special wish on them
• Display them on the school tree or create a winter display area

2. Themed fancy dress day:

• Host a seasonal fancy dress day - e.g. fairy, Santa or elf
• If you don't celebrate Christmas, choose an alternative theme
• Download WCRF UK’s fancy dress suggestions for inspiration

3. Crafty Competitions:

• Download the crafty competitions instruction sheet  
• Design a healthy menu or create a festive decoration or why not do both?

Prizes to be won: The top five schools that have raised and submitted the most funds by Friday 29th January 2010 will each win a exciting prize, kindly donated by www.brightminds.co.uk, a mail order company offering great educational toys and games!
