Welcome to Fruity Friday 2008, bursting with juicy ways to help you to organise a simple, fun event at your school on Friday 16th May 2008 – or any other Friday, in May or at any time during the school term, that suits you.
We have lots of suggestions as to how you and your school can get involved on Fruity Friday, from fruit tasting sessions to dress down days. Order a fundraising pack to find out more, or you can download all of the materials.
Thank you for all of the wonderful entries that we received for this year's Fruity Friday superhero drawing competition. It was a tough job choosing the winning designs, we hope you agree with our choices! Take a look at the top three superheroes from each of the age categories - 4 - 7 age group, 8 - 11 age group, 11 - 13 age group and 14 - 16 age group. Well done to everyone that entered. The 1st place winners had their design re-created by a professional artist, and won a sports kit for their school, supplied by Jaffa. The individual runners up won themselves Argos gift vouchers.
Don’t forget to order your Fruit Map t-shirt to show your support, as well as balloons and face paints to help your event become a success. Have a look around the fruity shop to see what else is on offer.
We are also pleased to promote our new lesson ideas, which will help teachers incorporate our healthy lifestyle messages into the National Curriculum, in a simple and easy-to-understand format.
