Flora London Marathon – Sunday 26 April 2009

Tom Barrett

Tom Barrett, a Tax Manager for a financial company in London, is running his first ever marathon for WCRF UK.

Having taken part in training runs and a half marathon with his late Father, Tom is now running the London Marathon as a tribute to both his parents, who have been affected by cancer.

"My Father recently died (17 November 2008) after a long and brave battle with kidney cancer. Dad was a keen marathon runner and I would like to honour his name by completing the race whilst also raising money for, and awareness of, WCRF UK. I am also dedicating this race to my Mother who has lost her Dad, brother and husband to this terrible disease.”
