Helen Spain

Helen Spain, a scientist from Kent, is determined to experience her first ever London Marathon in 2009 and live out her dream of crossing the finishing line on the day. Helen will be running in memory of Mum, who sadly passed away four years ago, and wants to raise as much money as possible to support cancer prevention research. Please help Helen in the goal she has set herself by sponsoring her generously below.

"For a number of years now, I have been longing to run the London Marathon and have not managed it for a number of reasons. 2009 is now my opportunity and I am extremely grateful to World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) for providing this opportunity for me to fulfill my dream.

I am running the marathon in memory of my Mum who died 4 years ago of cancer.

By sponsoring me, you will be joining in the fight to prevent this deadly disease by helping WCRF UK progress important research and education programmes in cancer prevention.
