WCRF UK has developed this BMI calculator because scientists now say that, after not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight is the most important thing you can do to lower your cancer risk.
Calculating your Body Mass Index (BMI)* is one of the easiest ways to check if you are a healthy weight.
A healthy BMI is between 18.5-24.9 and WCRF UK recommends being as lean as possible without becoming underweight.
*BMI may not be an accurate indicator for some groups of people, including body builders, athletes, the elderly, pregnant women, children or those less than five feet tall.
